texasTexas 12 St. Andrew's Episcopal 10

Texas took the lead late in the game in a 12-10 victory over St. Andrew's Episcopal. The game was tied at ten with Texas batting in the bottom of the sixth when Emma Giuntoli hit a solo homer.

Despite falling down by five runs in the fifth inning, St. Andrew's Episcopal tried to fight back. St. Andrew's Episcopal scored five runs in the failed comeback on a single by Castillo, a passed ball during Curtin's at bat, and a groundout by Youngberg.

Texas notched five runs in the fifth inning. Leila Sicoli, Michaela Kelley, and Jayne Taylor all contributed in the big inning with RBIs.

Kaci Ketchum led things off on the hill for Texas. She went seven innings, allowing ten runs on seven hits and striking out six.

Youngberg was on the mound for St. Andrew's Episcopal. She lasted six innings, allowing 16 hits and 12 runs while striking out three.

Texas fell behind early and couldn't come back in an 11-3 loss to St. Dominic Savio on Tuesday. St. Dominic Savio scored on a stolen base in the first inning, a single by Rivera in the second inning, a error in the second inning, a walk by Lameu in the second inning, a error in the second inning, and a walk by Lange in the second inning.

Texas knotted the game up at one in the bottom of the first inning. Texas scored one run when Emma Giuntoli tripled.

St. Dominic Savio pulled away for good with six runs in the second inning. In the second Kaci Ketchum threw a wild pitch allowing one run across the plate for St. Dominic Savio. Two errors by Texas allowed St. Dominic Savio to score additional three runs.

After St. Dominic Savio scored one run in the top of the fourth, Texas answered with one of their own. St. Dominic Savio scored when Lange grounded out, scoring one run. Texas then answered when Leila Sicoli singled on a 2-1 count, scoring one run.

Brannam led things off on the rubber for St. Dominic Savio. She surrendered one run on four hits over three innings, striking out two and walking one.

Ketchum toed the rubber for Texas. She lasted two innings, allowing three hits and seven runs while striking out two. Giuntoli threw five innings in relief out of the bullpen.

Texas totaled nine hits. Giuntoli, Sicoli, and Jaelene Etkie each racked up multiple hits for Texas. Giuntoli went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead Texas in hits.

St. Dominic Savio had nine hits in the game. Rivera, Lameu, and Garcia all collected multiple hits for St. Dominic Savio. St. Dominic Savio stole 11 bases during the game as three players stole more than one.

Alayna Thomas pitched for Liberty Christian lasting three and a third innings, allowing five hits and three runs while striking out seven and walking zero.
