MSAD football, volleyball teams open with loss at Kansas

By Matt Bigelow

minnesotaThe Minnesota State Academy for the Deaf football and volleyball teams aren’t in Kansas anymore, and that’s probably a good thing.

The trip down to Kansas wasn’t a great one for the Trojans as the football team lost 48-8 and volleyball lost 25-20, 25-21 and 25-19.

The football team had a tough time slowing down the Kansas offense and the game was eventually called early due to MSAD’s inability to field a team after too many injuries.

Trojans ready for another big year as football, volleyball open fall practice

By Matt Bigelow

minnesota2015-16 was a big year for Minnesota State Academy for the Deaf sports. That success started with successful football and volleyball seasons and both teams expect to be strong again.

The MSAD football and volleyball teams kicked off practice this week and while neither team is at full-strength yet — not uncommon as many of the student-athletes at MSAD aren’t from Minnesota, so some aren’t on campus yet — both teams enter the year with high expectations.
