Boys Basketball

atlanta-areaAtlanta Area - Ahmeen Steakhouse scored 30 points to power Atlanta Area (#3 seed) past Cottage School (#2 seed), 54-47 in the Atlanta Athletic Conference semifinals. Atlanta Area will face #1 seed Howard School in the league championship game this Wednesday, February 14.

Eastern North Carolina - Hornets close year with loss at NEC Prep

Indiana jumped out to an early lead against Southside Christian and cruised to a lopsided non-league road win. With four players scoring in double-digits, Jared Beckler had team high 21 points and nine rebounds.

western-pennsylvaniaWestern Pennsylvania - Bernie Elliot scored team high 12 points for Western Pennsylvania in a league loss to Harvest Baptist, 49-33. Kyle D’Amore and Kyle Keracher each had 10 points.

Girls Basketball

atlanta-areaAtlanta Area - Tatiana Malone had 16 points to help Atlanta Area (#3 seed) nudge past Cottage School (#2 seed) in the semifinals of the Atlanta Athletic Conference, 26-22. Area will face #1 seed Howard School in the league championship game this Wednesday, February 14.

tennesseeTennessee - MarCreshia Phillips had 24 points for Tennessee (#8 seed) in a 57-29 loss to Hancock County (#5 seed) in the first round of the District 2A playoffs. The Lady Vikings wrap up the 2017-2018 season with a 4-17 record.

western-pennsylvaniaWestern Pennsylvania - Ryane Smalley scored nine points and Danielle Fisher had eight as Western Pennsylvania defeated Harvest Baptist 25-20 in a league match-up.

Pennsylvania 54 New York 36 - Quarterfinals

On Friday, we played New York and the boys were ready to come out and play ball. The first half was a little shaky and we did better in the second half. Jacob Cross had 12 points and seven rebounds. Nasir Ford put in 23 points, five rebounds, and seven steals. Aquil Roane grabbed seven rebounds.

American 60 Pennsylvania 42 - Semifinals

This game was a tough challenge for the boys but they hung in there and fought the entire game. Nasir Ford led our team 26 points, 10 rebounds, seven steals, and five blocks. Aquil Roane had four points and six rebounds. Jacob Cross added seven points and seven rebounds. This was a special night for Nasir Ford as he scored his 1,000th point.

Pennsylvania 54 Lexington 36 - 3rd Place

This was was a great back and forth game with both teams was playing their hearts out. We pulled ahead and took the lead on our way for 3rd place finish out of seven teams. Nasir Ford again led our team with 32 points, 11 steals, and nine rebounds. Jacob Cross contributed with 10 points and eight rebounds. Hazim Haroun chipped in with six points and six rebounds.

Our season is over and we conclude our season with a 13-8 record.
