Maryland 53 Heritage Academy 52

The Oriole Classic championship game between Maryland and Heritage Academy went down to the wire with the Orioles pulling a come from behind win, 53-52 to capture its sixth straight championship.

Tournament MVP Cassidy Perry racked up 21 points, 13 rebounds, five steals, four assists, and two blocks for Maryland. Ernelina Beldon and Rajena Guettler were named to the All-Tournament team. Beldon had 10 points and passed out four assists while Guettler chipped in with 16 points and four assists.

Alexis Roberts had a double-double for Mississippi with team high 16 points, 12 rebounds, three steals, three assists, and two blocks.

Mississippi 56 Kansas 23

Alexis Roberts and Raegan Hendrix picked up double-doubles for Mississippi. Roberts put in 22 points with 18 rebounds, five steals, and three assists. Hendrix added 12 points and grabbed 11 rebounds along with four steals and four assists.

Mississippi will return to action on January 18th at the Mason Dixon tournament.

Georgia finished the weekend at the annual Kentucky Classic hosted by Kentucky School for the Deaf with a 3-0 record. Chynah Johnson led Georgia in all three games. In the first game against Kentucky on Friday evening, Johnson had 16 points. On Saturday morning agains Atlanta Area, Johnson scored 15 points. In the rematch with Kentucky in the evening, Johnson paced Georgia with 23 points.
