Maryland 66 Frederick Force Homeschool 63

Oriole Classic tournament MVP John Werner, Jr. was a key factor in helping Maryland stake its’ first championship since 2012 against Frederick Force Homeschool yesterday afternoon. Werner erupted for 32 points and had four rebounds and three assists. All-Tournament honorees Stefan Anderson had 10 points with four rebounds and Esteban Kovacs with six points and five rebounds.

At the 21st annual Kentucky Classic hosted by Kentucky School for the Deaf, Demarco Brown of Georgia School for the Deaf broke the school’s single game scoring record with 55 points against Atlanta Area in a 73-57 loss.

In the second game of the day also with Atlanta Area, Brown bested the record he had set earlier with a 61-point performance in a 85-66 loss.
