Thirteen Men’s and Nine Women’s Teams Drawn into Pools

2016 World Deaf VolleyballWashington, D.C., April 9, 2016—The drawing of lots ceremony for the 2016 World Deaf Volleyball Championships was held at Gallaudet University earlier today. Ms. Patti Mace emceed, and Dr. Valery Rukhledev, ICSD’s president, drew the lots. Prior to the draw, the host USA was seeded first into both men’s and women’s “A” pools. Using the serpentine method, all ranked nations were seeded next into their pools. Finally, the unranked nations were drawn.

The procedure, world ranking list and today’s results are available in this three-page drawing of lots plan. The ceremony was videotaped.
