SJW grad hopes to play at Deaflympics

Canada Deaf Sports AssociationA former Athlete of the Year at Sir James Whitney School has represented Canada at a world championship event — and hopes to do it again.

Paula MacDonald, of Ottawa, played for Team Canada at the 2016 world deaf volleyball championships held in Washington, D.C., where the national team lost in the quarterfinals to second-ranked Ukraine, 3-0 (12-25, 7-25, 20-25).
