Deaf man who swam English Channel takes role in London parade

Wesley Nolan (39) became the first deaf Irish person to swim the English Channel last summer.

Last summer Wesley Nolan (39) became the first deaf Irish person to swim the English Channel.

This was an achievement in itself, but made even greater not just by his disability but because he swam almost twice the length of the channel to achieve his goal.
