Midwest Runnin' Rebels crowned 2015 NSAD Women's champions

The Midwest Runnin’ Rebels took home the 2015 National Softball Association of the Deaf Women’s championship with a 17-10 over the top seeded Eastern Lady Reapers. Running’ Rebels started the day as the number two seed after losing its only tournament match to Lady Reapers in the round robins, 11-7 yesterday afternoon.

In the day’s first game, the Runnin’ Rebels were too much for Worcester as they moved to the second round with a 19-4 win. This set up for the first match of the day between Runnin’ Rebels and Lady Reapers. With both teams meeting for the second time in two days, Runnin’ Rebels took the win, 5-2 to force the Lady Reapers to go through the loser’s bracket.

The Lady Reapers squeaked past Worcester, 7-6 for another chance against Runnin’ Rebels but it was not meant to be as Runnin’ Rebels took the crown.

Sioux Falls Blue Sox advance to 2015 NSAD Men's championship game

National Softball Association of the DeafResults of the 2015 National Softball Association of the Deaf men’s bracket at Omaha, Nebraska on Friday, Saturday, August 8th.

The Sioux Falls Blue Sox have advanced to the championship game for a rematch with the Fremont Hoy's Boys. Fremont Hoy's Boys have forced a second and deciding game after winning the first game 19-9 in the championship round.

Bracket will be updated as games are played.

Midwest Runnin' Rebels control destiny for 2015 NSAD Women Championship

National Softball Association of the DeafResults of the 2015 National Softball Association of the Deaf women’s bracket at Omaha, Nebraska on Friday, Saturday, August 8th.

Midwest Runnin’ Rebels and Eastern Lady Reapers will play for the championship. The Eastern Lady Reapers must win the game to force the deciding game as they lost to Midwest Runnin’ Rebels this morning, 5-2.

Tidewater takes home 2015 NSAD Class B Men's Championship

National Softball Association of the DeafTidewater defeated Austin Shock 15-10 to win the 2015 National Association of the Deaf Men’s Class B tournament. Teams who were winless during the round robins were placed in the Class B bracket.

Texas Stampede shut out Chicago WSAD 10-0 to win third place. Below is the final 2015 NSAD Class B Men bracket.

Northwest Deaf Derby claims 2015 NSAD coed championship

National Softball Association of the DeafNorthwest Deaf Derby finished out the 2015 National Association of the Deaf coed tournament undefeated with a 14-7 victory against Midwest Ruthless in the championship game. Deaf Derby toppled Sioux Falls Blue Storm in the second round and then had their closest game in the quarterfinals escaping Eastern Zombies 8-6. In the semifinals, the Deaf Derby defeated New England Oddballs.

Midwest Ruthless reached the championship game after losing to New England Oddballs by a single run, 12-11. With the loss, Ruthless defeated Sioux Falls Blue Storm and East Scared Hitless for a rematch with New England Oddballs. The second match between Ruthless and Oddballs was again decided by a single run but this time in Ruthless’ favor, 6-5 to set up the championship game with Northwest Deaf Derby.

Wichita Tornadoes win 2015 NSAD Class B coed championship

National Softball Association of the DeafWichita Tornadoes defeated Pittsburgh Yinzers 14-10 to win the 2015 National Association of the Deaf Class B coed tournament. The Tornadoes shut out Indy Thunder 11-0 to advance to the championship game.

The Yinzers needed an extra game to advance to the championship game as they defeated Pittsburgh River Rats by a single run, 10-9 in the quarterfinals. The semifinal against Midwest Underdogs was also decided by a single run, 9-8.

Indy Thunder topped Midwest Underdogs 9-5 to win third place. Below is the final 2015 NSAD Class B coed bracket.
