Mia Marin, champion for two different teams in the last year

US Deaf SoccerMia Marin is a multi-sport athlete at Woodland High School, most notably playing defense and midfield for the defending three-time Division III Sac-Joaquin Section champion girls soccer team.

But she is part of another championship team, the U.S. Women’s Deaf National soccer team, which won the 2016 Deaf World Cup Championship by beating Russia 3-0 in Eboli, Italy — July 2 marked one year to the day since that victory.
