US Deaf Golf Championship completes second day with few changes at top of leaderboard

2013 USDGCThe United States Deaf Golf Championship (USDGC) completed its' second day of competition yesterday at Tucson National golf course in Tucson, Arizona. In the Men's Flight, Richard Delvecchio dropped out of a three-way tie in first place all the way to sixth place with a round of 87. Dano Aldaz and Louis Pedroza maintained their hold on the first place spot with an identical score of 76. After two days, Aldaz and Pedroza are tied at the top of the list with a score of 151. Michael Mabashov finished the day with 76 strokes and remain one stroke behind with 152.

Patty Lopez overtook Susan Zupnik to move to first place in the Women's Flight. Lopez finished the day with a score of 83 and leads the field with a total score of 169. Zupnik fell to second place with a round score of 90 and a total score of 172. Melissa Stockton is in third with 173 after finishing the second round with a score of 86.

Tim Dapp remained in first place with a score of 80 in the second round of the Senior's flight and a total score of 151. Keith Worek moved up the boards from fourth to second place with a total score of 165 after finishing the day with 84 strokes.

2013 USDGCThe United States Deaf Golf Championships (USDGC) is currently underway at the Tucson National golf course in Tucson, Arizona. USDGC has 56 golfers in four different classifications; Men's Open, Men's Seniors, Ladies, and Recreational.

After the first round yesterday, Dano Aldaz, Richard Delevecchio, and Louis Pedroza are tied for first with 75 strokes in the Men's Open. Michael Mabashov is one stroke behind at 76. In the Women's Flight, with only nine golfers, Susan Zupnik is holding the top spot with 82 strokes and Patty Lopez in second place with 86 strokes. Tim Dapp is in first place for the Senior's Flight with 79 strokes. Michael Finneran and Gerald Isobe is tied for second with 80.
