For the first time, a section along the 40-yard-line in Texas State University’s football stands is being reserved for the deaf and those fluent in American Sign Language.

As first reported by local station KXAN, the section was devised by Brian Guendling, a former TXST football player and current junior at the university in San Marcos, Texas.
